It was nice meeting you, Searcher. I'm just sorry we didn't get to chat more. Have fun in your "wordly" adventures!

well, we had a grand old time yesterday dakota red kindly offered his home for our mini-fest, and what started off as a little party for searcher (our uk guest of honor) became somewhat more than that .
in alphabetical order, our group included: bikerchic, blueyes, bruce and dorian baker, buster and wifey, carmel, dakota red, goshawk, lost diamond, onacruse, princess and steve (and steve's mom and a family friend), searcher, seven006, songmistress, and veniceit.. carmel brought some delicious salmon for the barbie, and we even got searcher to have a taste.
we overlooked the fact that brits prefer to eat fish in the form of fish and chips searcher and songmistress--when we brought out the cake, everything was fine until somebody started to sing happy birthday...the words just sorta stuck in our throats, and we looked around at each other like a bunch of dubbies lolololol.
Here are some more:
Searcher & Songmistress cutting their cake, with Bikerchic, Onacruse, and Lost Diamond watching over them....
Jeff (yep, I still think he's a hottie), Princess, Buster....
Blueeyes, Songmistress, Venice, Bickerchic, Lost Diamond, and Dorian.....Ven's mother.
There are more, but I'm not sure how the others feel about posting their pictures. Goshawk...do you mind?

Katie,
I think Dave hasn't picked on me yet 'cause he knows I'm more demonized than he is

Did we get a picture of Ven stuffing cake up Dave's nose????
i really liked it (i don't ask a lot in a movie...escapist entertainment's what i'm after).
i thought johnny depp rocked as the rather swishy, funny pirate captain.
orlando bloom is turning into quite the attractive young man...after that last scene, i can see him in musketeer garb.. looking forward to the league of extraordinary gentlemen (love sean connery)...heard it's not great, but like i said, escapist entertainment).
"Chocolate" was a very good movie!!!

Hey everybody!
I had a lot of fun! It was nice to meet new people. I got to visit with : Dave (Seven006)...he drove up with me, Onacruse, Bickerchic, Searcher, Songmistress, BlueEyes, Goshawk, Dakota Red, Princess, her husband and mother-in-law, and their friend, Jeff (a real hottie!!! ), Venice, and her parents, Bruce & Dorian (very sweet family!!). Venice...you crack me up!!
I'm probably missing some, but I think there were about 20 of us. I think Bikerchic has the stats. on that one. I had a GREAT time and I'm so glad I got to go!! Hopefully Craig will get those pictures posted soon.
I hope we do this again very soon!

can people be single and happy?
the older i get the more i believe that being single is the way to go.there are so many advantages.just to name a few;.
you can finish that college degree, go to the neighborhood bar anytime, do charity work, join a night class, stay out all night, flirt with anybody you please.
Gozz,
I admire people that have stayed single that long. I believe that is a very wise choice.
there is one thought, which if spoken , even privately to yourself, instantly.
transforms you into an ex-witness.. it is:.
"what the hell was i thinking?".
Ballistic....you are so right!
I like who I am now. Being a JW made me a stronger and more compasionate person......now I don't judge people like I used to when I was a JW. I have more sense of what freedom feels like.
